"stillness in woe" has some really ambigous lyrics, so go wherever they lead you. The one line that always makes me think of Becca is "push my mind around as if it's warming up your hands" because it's just so incredibly perfect for that the Flame is, but feel free to focus on any part of the song that you like.
The other two songs were actually featured on The 100, one is related to Callie and the other one is not related to this storyline at all (it plays in the pilot episode). I'd love to see them used here, even or especially when you give them a different context. Or you can just write about the scene where "Into the Black" plays, that would be awesome too.
Also, one of my favorite headcanons/AUs is "The Light" and The City of Light being the same thing because of A.L.I.E. hacking The Stone after the apocalypse. But obviously feel free to ignore it and stick to canon. :) Anything about the Stones and/or the Flame and how they relate to the requested characters would be absolutely amazing.

I love this book just as much now as I did when I was reading it for the first time as a melodramatic teenager. It's just so interesting. So dark, and dramatic, and saying really interesting things about the nature of humanity and culpability alongside all that Gothic goodness. I’m so glad that I finally (after a significant delay) got into this fandom this year! As expected, I absolutely loved this game. I love the dark nature of it, I love the sheer atmosphere, I love the tough moral choices that you have to make and I love all the characters and the way that they interact with each other. It’s a dark, twisty, gothic dream of a game and I would absolutely love to receive twisty, gothic fic for it.

I played Reid as a generally good guy who didn’t murder everyone. I’m fine if he murders a few more people than he did in my playthrough, but I’d prefer if you didn’t write him as going full evil.

McCullum/Reid

Of course I love these two together, it would’ve been more of a shock if I HADN’T loved these two together. From their very first meeting they have so much energy with each other, and that only increases throughout the game. I love how they’re generally opposed, but how they’re both good people in their own ways. I love how they’re basically obsessed with each other from their first meeting, and how that obsession only changes form. I LOVE how their dynamic develops until they’re at a place of mutual respect, but how there’s still some tension there even at the end. I just love them, really!

I didn’t turn McCullum in my playthrough, so that’s the version in my head that I’m working with. I’m fine if you do choose to have him turned in the fic, though!

I ended up reading all the books within a month the first time I read this series. This was unprecedented for me, as while I usually read a lot I tend to be a bit of a butterfly when it comes to reading through a series. I just found these books so incredibly gripping. The cases are really interesting, the setting (with its slightest edge of paranormal stuff) is excellent and I just really love all the characters.

Frey/McGray

Of course I ship the hell out of these two. They just have a dynamic that's absolute catnip to me. They're a historical detective duo, they're forced into close proximity to each other while solving cases, they have a certain amount of loyalty to each other... But at the same time they have an interesting amount of hostility between them, a large amount of mistrust and a lot of things to work through. They obviously care about each other a little while still finding each other incredibly difficult, and I'd LOVE to see more of that.

I started watching Valhalla hot on the heels of Odyssey, and I absolutely love it. It feels slightly different from Odyssey, being as it's set in freezing cold Norway and then freezing cold England, but has a lot of similar things that I love. I love how exciting it is, I love all the little period appropriate details and how people relate to the world they live in, I love the ideas of found family and building a home for yourself, I love the flyting and most of all I love the characters and how they care for each other. It’s just a really lovely game overall.

A quick canon note: I'd prefer it if there wasn't much focus on the modern day stuff, if possible! I’d also prefer it if there was very little Valhalla (that bit with the Norse gods) at all. I'd also prefer requited Eivor/Randvi not to be mentioned.

Eivor/Sigurd

These two! These two were absolutely the highlight of the game for me. They’re just so loyal to each other, and so close to each other, and so obviously and absolutely nuts about each other. I love how they always seem to have each other’s backs (even with all the shit that goes down), I love how they obviously trust each other more than anybody else on the planet and I love how they care for each other just as much. They’re absolutely adorable together, not to mention smoking hot, and I would like to see a lot more of them.

I read and reread this series rabidly as a kid, and picked them up again this year as I was getting over a reading slump. Needless to say, I loved them just as much now as I did when I was a kid. They’re such clever books, funny and absorbing while also being super dark and depressing. I love the sheer joy of the morphing, I love the complex worldbuilding, I love the dark tone, I love the characters… I love it all, really!

Alloran/Visser 3

I’m starting off this section, and indeed this entire letter, with a slightly messed up pairing… But what can I say, I ship it a lot! :D I started shipping these two when I read The Andalite Chronicles, and haven’t really stopped shipping them since. They have this weirdly intimate and fraught relationship, considering that Visser 3 infested Alloran against his will, and I’d be fascinated to see more of it. They’re quite alike in some ways, they’re both patriots capable of war crimes and justifying said war crimes, and basically I’d just love to see more of their fascinating dynamic.

I’d like to note that I’m fine with dub-con here! I’d just prefer it not to stray into outright non-con (Alloran explicitly not wanting anything that happens in between them, Alloran explicitly saying ‘no’, intense feelings of pain/degradation), but I am aware that this is a slightly messed up pairing so I’m fine with it straying in a slightly dubious direction.

I just love everything about these books. They're high drama romance novels involving vampires, which should be something that attracts severe side eye, but they're just really enjoyable! Great worldbuilding, absolutely fantastic characters and so much room for porny interpretations. I'd definitely recommend them to anybody who likes vampires and villains.

Dawn

I started off not liking Dawn that much, but she's definitely crept up on me. She's a real badass who cares a lot more than she lets on, but is also so incredibly angry and unwilling to acknowledge her numerous issues. I love how complex she's allowed to be, and I love how she shapes the world around her.

The Demonata is one of my favourite book series ever, and probably where my penchant for getting into tiny book fandoms started. It's a really dark story at several parts, whenever the Demonata pop up to be specific, but also contains really compelling characters and plots that keep me interested even when the grimness would otherwise drive me away. It's definitely a horror, but also contains some really interesting fantasy elements and a fascinating approach to magic. It also seems to have a really cast iron tone/moral of hope even on the darkest day, which has always appealed to me. Anything that appreciates the darkness of the setting, while also focusing on hope spots, would be great!

Grubbs/Lord Loss

These two absolutely LOATHE each other, and for very good reason. Their antagonistic relationship, and the development of it, is quite possibly the core of the books. I really enjoy how these two interact, and how dedicated they are to ruining each other's lives. They're basically obsessed with each other throughout the series, and I'm sure that could lead to some absolutely fascinating fic exploring the tension within their relationship and just how it develops!

The Guardians of Time is yet another slightly obscure book series that I don't think many other people have read. And I love it. It contains time travel, superpowers, magic and a very fast moving plot underneath all of those things. It's just really compelling on a lot of levels, especially characterisation wise, and I'd really love to see more fic about it!

Sera is a character who I feel got a really rough deal in canon. She's murdered at age 10, and while she does hang around as a ghost her basic function is just to make Ethan feel guilty and be a plot muppet. I feel this is quite a disservice. She doesn't get much to do in canon, but what she does get to do is really interesting. She's strong enough to survive on her own in the Underworld for 13 years, she's powerful enough to master one of her superpowers without any training at all and Arkarian outright says "she would've been one of the great ones". I'd love to see a universe where she gets to survive, or even just a universe where she gets a little bit more to do.

This is a mystery series set in the reign of Henry II, and I just really love every single part of it. The writing is excellent, the mysteries are really interesting (especially the one in book 2) and I just absolutely ADORE the characters. It's a really interesting, really fun, really diverse series that I absolutely love and I would be so excited to get fic for it.

Stanton/Barling

A big part of why I love this series so much is these two. I love these two SO MUCH. They're absolutely adorable. Barling is a stuffy clerk who is a bit of a snob all things considered, but has a heart of gold underneath and a really strong commitment to justice (and is also canonically gay, which is nice for detective fiction). Stanton is a bit irresponsible and tends to be reckless, but is super loyal to those he loves and super understanding in so many ways.

Together they're absolutely wonderful and I adore them. I love how they banter with each other, I love the quickly growing trust between them and I especially love how they're so very loyal to each other. They truly care about each other, truly regard each other as important and aren't shy about showing it, and I'd absolutely love to see more of their dynamic.

I watched Blake's 7 for the first time as a teenager, and rewatched it for the first time in a while this year. As expected, it really holds up! It's a very dark show and quite hopeless in a lot of ways, but also extremely witty and very compelling to watch. I just really enjoy all the complexity of it all, and would love to receive fic for it!

An unexpected joy that’s come out of rewatching Blake’s 7 is just how into Blake/Travis I’ve gotten this time around. They’re just so interesting together! So mutually obsessive and bound up in hatred and unable to leave each other alone even when it would probably be better for both of them to do so. They’re both quite morally complex (Blake more than he’d like to admit), they’re both ruthless and they’re both capable of going too far in the pursuit of their goals. They’re really fascinating, and I’d love to see more of them.
